Summary:
We are conducting a clinical research study, for children and teenagers who are between 6 and 17 years of age, have been diagnosed with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and still have problems despite prior treatment with a medicine commonly used for ADHD, methylphenidate. The SPD489-317 study is designed to evaluate an investigational medication for the treatment of ADHD.
This clinical research study will help us assess how long it takes the investigational medicine to have an effect and to see how safe it is in both children and teenagers. It will do this by comparing the investigational medication with another treatment that many doctors use to treat ADHD.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be 6 to 17 years of age
Have been diagnosed with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Have problems despite prior treatment with a medicine commonly used for ADHD, methylphenidate
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Study related medical care including health assessments and study medications.
