Summary:
We are currently looking for study volunteers to participate in a clinical trial involving and investigational medication for Type 2 Diabetes and Cardiac Risk Factors. This clinical trial consists of approximately 17 visits over a 2 year period. Compensation for time and travel is up to $850
Qualified Participants Must:
• Have Type 2 Diabetes
•
Be > 50 years of age and have concomitant cardiovascular, cerebrovascular or peripheral vascular disease or chronic renal failure or Chronic Heart Failure or > age 60 at screening and other specified risk factors of vascular disease
•
Have an HgbA1c of >7.0%
•
Not have Type 1 Diabetes
•
Not have usedByetta/Exenatide, Vicotoza/Liraglutide, pramlitinide Januvia/Sitagliptin, Onglyza/Saxagliptin within 3 months prior to screening
•
Not currently use any insulin other than (NPH) insulin Humulin N, Novolin N,Novolin NPH, NPH Lletin II, and isophane insulin or Lantus or Levemir
•
Not have a history of Diabetic Ketoacidosis
•
Not have Chronic Heart Failure
•
Not have had Cancer within the past 5 years
Qualified Participants May Receive:
All study related procedures, supplies and medications at no cost and compensation for time and travel up to $850.
