Summary:

To demonstrate that lay users (subjects with no laboratory training) can obtain PT/INR (Prothrombin Time/ International Normalized Ratio)results using the study monitor, which are clinically equivalent (similar) to PT/INR results obtained by trained health-care professionals (who use the same study monitor device).


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be able to read, write and understand English
• Be willing to give informed consent
• Be taking a stabilized/consistent dose of warfarin (also referred to as a "blood thinner", familiar brand is Coumadin) for at least 6 weeks
• Have transportation to the San Jose area study location for 2 visits, each approx 2-3 hours long


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation for time per activity completed:
1) Visit 1 ($40)
2) Visit 2 ($40)
3) Between visit testing at home ($40)
