Summary:
This research study aims to understand the mechanisms of vascular dysfunction in chronic kidney disease. Specifically, the focus is the function of the blood vessel lining called the epithelium, because it may contribute to the increased prevalence of cardiovascular disease in chronic kidney disease patients.
This research study consists of 3 visits to the lab, for a total of approximately 9.5 hours total.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be between 18 and 75 years of age
•
Have a diagnosis of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
•
Not currently using tobacco
