Summary:
Do you get cold sores or fever blisters on your mouth or lips?
The purpose of this research study is to determine the effectiveness and safety of an investigational topical medication for cold sores. The study will also assess how quickly a cold sore heals. Volunteers who suffer from recurrent cold sores may be eligible to participate and do not have to have an active cold sore to enroll.
You must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have history of at least 3 cold sores per year
You don’t have to wait to have an active cold sore to qualify for this study
All research study-related care is provided to qualified participants at no cost including:
• Investigational topical medication (which will be applied directly to cold sore)
• Physical exam
• Cold sore lesion assessments
