Summary:

This is a study for individuals with stable cardiovascular disease and elevated blood sugars or diabetes.

People with these conditions have a higher risk of heart attack or stoke in the future. Because we know who is at greater risk, we want to take early steps to try to prevent a cardiovascular emergency. This study will look at whether an investigational medication can reduce cardiovascular risk in the future.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be At lease 40 years of age
• Have had previous heart attack, stroke or peripheral arterial disease and have Type 2 Diabetes or raised blood sugar levels


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication, study exams and compensation for time and travel.
