Summary:

This is a study that will run for approximately 163 weeks assess the Pharmacodynamics, efficacy, and safety of an administered oral tablet in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease associated with Emphysema.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 40 and 75 years of age
• Have COPD, including a component of emphysema on screening CT scan
• Have had at least one documented COPD exacerbation within the past year
• Be a current or former smoker with a cigarette smoking history of at least 20 pack-years
• Be willing to undergo a screening CT-scan consistent with the diagnosis of emphysema


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication, study related medical care and may be compensated for time and travel
