Summary:

Researchers are conducting a study in local clinics to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a new investigational study drug for rheumatoid arthritis that has been designed to be very similar to an existing infusion treatment called rituximab (brand name Rituxan).

Participants will be selected from a group of patients who:

  • are between 18 and 80, with moderate or severe active rheumatoid arthritis
  • are currently taking a medication called methotrexate
  • have previously tried some medicines for their RA that did not work well for them

If you qualify and choose to participate, you’ll be monitored carefully by a team of experienced doctors and nurses. All participants will receive active investigational study drug sand continue to take methotrexate. Study-related care and drugs will be provided at no cost to the participant.
