Summary:
This is a Phase III trial for the patients that have been diagnosed with COPD and are current or former smokers. This study consists of approximately 8 visits over a 52 week time period.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be at least 40 years of age
•
Have diagnoses of COPD
•
Have chronic Bronchitis
•
Have had 2 or more exacerbations requiring antibiotics and/or steroid treatment within the last 12 months
•
Be a current or former smoker
•
Not have had a heart attack within the past 12 months
•
Not have participated in a clinical trial within the past 30 days
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Compensation for time and travel up to $800.
Study related medication, supplies, and procedures such as:
physical exams
pulmonary function testing
laboratory testing
all at no cost to you.
