Summary:
This study is testing the benefits of an investigational drug in reducing lung and heart complications for individuals who are current or former smokers.
Individuals may qualify this study if they:
- Have a history or risk of heart disease
- Are 40 to 80 years of age
- Are a former or current cigarette smoker
Participation will also depend on other requirements.
Study participants may receive study drug and study related medical care at no charge.
Reimbursement for time and travel may be provided.
Health insurance is not necessary to participate.
