Summary:

Study to compare the effect of Fluticasone Furoate/Vilanterol inhalation Powder 100/25mcg with placebo on survival in subjects with moderate Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and a history of or at increased risk for cardiovascular disease.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 40 and 80 years of age at Screening
• Be a current or former smoker
• If between 40 and 60 years of age have established coronary artery disease (CAD), peripheral vascular disease (PVD), history of stroke, heart attack, or diabetes mellitus with target organ disorder
• If 60 years and older currently be treated for any two of the following: hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, or peripheral vascular disease


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication, study related medical care and may be compensated for time and travel.
