Summary:

A trial comparing cardiovascular safety of two once daily insulins in subjects with type 2 diabetes at high risk of cardiovascular events.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be at least 50 years of age
• Have a history of cardiovascular events
• Have an A1c of >7.0 or <7.0 is currently taking insulin
• Be on current stable medication for insulin (oral or inject able)
• Some subjects may qualify based on documented history of irregular labs or cardiac testing, if age 60 or greater


Qualified Participants May Receive:

All study-related medications , all study visits and testing free of charge. Some subjects may receive help with the cost of their current diabetes medications. All subjects will receive compensation for their time and travel.
