Summary:

Do you have a history of type 2 diabetes? Would you like to participate in a research study?

If so, we are conducting a research study of an investigational medication to test the effects of an antidiabetic medication in subjects with type 2 diabetes.

If qualified, you:

  • Will be asked to attend approximately 27 in office visits over 5 years
  • Will receive investigational medication or insulin glargine (Lantus), lab work, and study required care at no cost
  • Will be compensated for costs associated with time and travel


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be over 50 years of age
• Be diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2
• Currently be taking an oral or injectable antidiabetic medication
• Have had a previous cardiovascular event (heart attack, stroke, revascularization procedure, etc.) or be at high risk of an event


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Up to $2580 for participating in the full length of the trial.
