Summary:

Miami Dade Medical Research Institute is conducting a multinational randomized, double blind placebo controlled trial to evaluate the effect of an investigational product twice daily on the incidence of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction or stroke in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be over 50 years of age
• Have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
• Be at risk of Cardiovascular Events such as angina, stent placement or by pass but without medical history of heart attack or myocardial infarction .


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Stipend for time and transportation reimbursement .
