Summary:

Psychiatric Care and Research Center is conducting a randomized, placebo-controlled study of an investigational medication to help teens quit smoking. This medication is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a treatment in Adults to help smoking cessation. This study is considered investigational because we are testing the safety and efficacy of this study medication in adolescents.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 12 and 16 years of age
• Currently smoke at least an average of 5 cigarettes per day during the past 30 days
• Must have had at least one prior failed attempt to quit smoking


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation for time and travel may be possible.
