Summary:
Pyoderma Gangrenosum Research Study
Volunteers are needed to help evaluate an investigational injectable medication for pyoderma gangrenosum (PG).
To qualify, participants must be age 18 or older and have been diagnosed with PG and have active ulcers. This Phase III study may last up to eight months and includes a chance of receiving placebo rather than the active investigational medication.
There is no cost for study medication or study-related exams and qualified participants may be compensated for their time and travel.
If you are interested in volunteering, you will see a board certified-dermatologist who will provide an examination to determine if you qualify for the study.
As with all studies, there are many rules for participation that will be fully reviewed during a screening visit.
Reasons you would not qualify for this study:
- You are using a biologic (injectable) medication or high-dose prednisone (or other high-dose corticosteroids)
- You are a female who is pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study duration
- You have significant peripheral nerve damage
- You have had cancer in the last three years (some exceptions, i.e. skin cancers)
Oregon Medical Research Center’s dermatologists and/or other medical personnel will review all other guidelines to determine if you qualify for the study.
