Summary:

Are you ready to quit smoking?

A research study for people who are determined to quit smoking is now enrolling. The RIBESC (Researching the Impact on Biological Endpoints in Smoking Cessation) Study will assess the health changes that occur as a result of quitting smoking over a 1-year period.

Supportive counseling and, if needed, nicotine replacement therapy will be provided at no cost to help you quit.

If you are determined to quit smoking, consider taking part in the RIBESC Study.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be willing to quit smoking within the next 30 days
• Be between 30 and 60 years or age
• Have smoked on average 10 or more cigarettes per day over the past year
• Have smoked for at least 10 years
• Not be currently experiencing heavy wheezing, persistent cough or other breathing difficulties (such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder)
• Not be currently taking part in *(or have not recently taken part in) a clinical research study
