Summary:

Investigators Research Group is conducting a randomized, open label, parallel group, real world pragmatic trial to assess the clinical and health outcomes of Toujeo compared to basal insulin for initiation of therapy in insulin naive patients with uncontrolled type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older Have be a Type 2 Diabetic for at least 1 year
• Have an A1C between 8-11
• Not have prior use of insulin, unless it was short term
• Be taking oral medication for diabetes


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study Diabetic Medication, study supplies, diabetic counseling, study related labs and exams, and compensation at every visit.
