Summary:
Type II diabetes patients 18 years or older, who need to be on oral medications or are taking oral medications and want to try an extended release version of a diabetic medication. Has to be on medications for their diabetes for at least 3 months
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
•
Have type II diabetes
•
Be on medication for diabetes or have been taking oral medications for at least 3 months
•
Have HbA1c of 7.5% - 11%
•
No major surgery scheduled in next 6 months
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Study related exams, blood work, and medication, Diabetic counseling, Compensation for travel, Education about diabetes and help with obtaining control, and Interaction with friendly and caring staff.
