Summary:
Stopped by constipation?
You may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study evaluating an investigational drug for chronic constipation.
If you have chronic constipation, you know that your treatment options are often limited. Available medications can cause side effects, and most over-the-counter medications are designed to treat occasional constipation, not chronic constipation.
Our doctors are currently conducting a clinical research study for people with Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC). They want to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug called plecanatide that is taken orally once a day.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be between 18 and 80 years of age
Have chronic constipation for at least 3 months prior to the study
Have a history of fewer than 3 bowel movements per week
Qualified Participants May Receive:
All study-related visits, tests and study drugs will be provided to participants at no cost. Reimbursement for travel may also be provided.
