Summary:

Pharmacorp Clinical Trials is conducting a 3 year long study for COPD patients with cardiovascular risks as well. This may include: hypertension, high cholesterol, stroke, clogged arteries, heart attack, stents/bypasses, Diabetes or renal dysfunction. This study is looking at a marketed medication vs. placebo for COPD to determine long term cardiovascular endpoints.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 40 years of age or older
• Be a current or former smoker
• Be on medication for COPD
• Not be on a combination of 3 different types of COPD medications (please call us and we can evaluate-this depends on the drugs you're taking!)
• Be willing to come for 2-3 hour visits in the mornings


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication or placebo at no cost, prescription card for rescue medication and in some cases for regular COPD medications, study procedures including Spirometries, Physicals, ECG's, blood work, etc at no cost, and compensation for time and travel.
