Clinical Trial 34819

North Hollywood, CA 91606

Summary:

Do you have type 2 diabetes and kidney disease? One common complication for people with type 2 diabetes is diabetic nephropathy, also known as diabetic kidney disease. Your kidneys can become damaged when your blood sugar gets too high and the filters in your kidneys have to work too hard. More treatment options are needed to treat this disease. Talk to us about the SONAR clinical research study. The purpose of the SONAR study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in people with diabetic kidney disease.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Are 18 - 85 years of age
• Are male or a post-menopausal female
• Have type 2 diabetes and kidney disease
• Are being treated with a renin-angiotensin system (RAS) inhibitor
• Do not have a history of heart failure

Qualified Participants May Receive:

The study medication and study-related tests and evaluations will be provided at no cost. The study medication is designed to be added to your current therapies. If you participate in the study, you would continue to take the medications your doctor has already prescribed for your diabetes. The study may last up to 48 months. You may have to visit the research center up to 32 times. At the study visits, you will have tests and evaluations to monitor your health. Compensation will be provided at each completed study visit.
