Is Asthma limiting your daily activities even with a controller?
You may qualify for our research study.
Every day researchers discover new information about asthma and its treatment. Research can only happen when people like you choose to participate in clinical trials. With your help we can learn more about asthma and continue developing potential new asthma treatments.
The Liberty Asthma Quest research study is evaluating an investigational drug when it is added to certain other asthma medication. Participants will be allowed to continue taking certain asthma medications during the study. The study may last up to a year and a half.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be 12 years of age or older with persistent asthma for at least the last year.
Have had an asthma attack within the past 12 months that required hospitalization, emergency medical care (an ER visit) or treatment with a systemic steroid (like prednisone pills or injections)
Be taking at least:
A daily inhaled corticosteroid (sometimes called a controller medication or maintenance medication)
AND
1-2 additional controller or maintenance medications (such as a long-acting beta agonist or a leukotriene receptor antagonist)
Additional tests will be done at the first visit to see if you qualify.
Qualified Participants May Receive:
All study-related procedures, laboratory tests, and investigational medication are provided at no cost. ; Qualified participants may also receive a per visit stipend that can help with travel expenses.; Details about this will be addressed by the local study clinic.
