Summary:

Psychiatric Care and Research Center is conducting a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study to investigate the efficacy and safety of Trintellix in the treatment of adolescent depression. There will be three treatment arms and one placebo arm. Trintellix is a new antidepressant that has been approved for use in adults and this study is to determine its usefulness in severely depressed adolescents.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 12 and 17 years of age
• Have significant depression
• Not have a first degree relative who had Bipolar Disorder


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation for time and travel may be possible. Complete physical examination.
