Summary:

Psychiatric Care and Research Center is conducting a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to investigate the potential weight gain, or lack of weight gain, of a combination of olanzapine and samidorphan compared to olanzapine in adults with schizophrenia. This is a new combination medication to control weight gain while also treating the symptoms of schizophrenia.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be diagnosed with Schizophrenia
• Be between 18 and 55 years of age
• Have a BMI (Body Mass Index) between 18 and 30
• Have no hospitalizations for their illness within the past 6 months
• Not have been on Zyprexa within the past 6 months - No substance abuse within the last 3 months


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation for time and travel may be possible. Complete physical examination.
