Summary:

Have you (or someone you know) been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes?

Are you currently using Lantus, Toujeo, Levemir, or Tresiba to treat your Type 1 diabetes?

We are looking for participants to take part in a clinical research study to determine if a morning injection of Toujeo compared to Lantus will provide better glycemic control in adult patients with type 1 diabetes. 


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between the ages of 18 and 70 years of age with type 1 diabetes mellitus
• Have been treated for at least 1 year with a daily dose of basal insulin and a mealtime insulin
• Currently be taking Lantus, Toujeo, Levemir, or Tresiba within the last 3 months or longer
• Have experienced at least one low blood glucose level (hypoglycemia) with symptoms during the last month
• Qualify by certain lab tests which will be performed by a study doctor or staff at site
• Be willing to return to study clinic for regular visits and phone contact between appointments.

What can you expect?   

·        Duration of study participation is approximately 20 weeks.

·        Your safety will be monitored continuously through laboratory tests, physical examination, and for reactions to the investigational study drug.

·        Investigational study drug and related medical visits and tests will be provided at no cost during study participation.

·        By participating in this study, you can take a more active role in your own healthcare and possibly help others who have diabetes by contributing to medical research.
