Clinical Trial 37778

Clearfield, UT 84015

Summary:

What is the CLEAR Serenity Study?

The CLEAR Serenity Study will include approximately 300 people in the United States who have high cholesterol and cannot take cholesterol-lowering medications (called statins) due to side effects. The study will see whether an investigational medication may help to lower cholesterol when patients add it to their current cholesterol medications. The study will also look at how safe the investigational medication is for patient use.

Can I take part in the study?

You may be able to take part in the CLEAR Serenity Study if you:

·         are at least 18 years of age (or the age considered an adult in your country, whichever is older)

·         have high cholesterol

·         require cholesterol-reducing therapy to prevent cardiovascular events

·         are unable to take (or can only take very low doses of) statin medications due to side effects.

At the first study visit, the study team will check whether the study is right for you.

The CLEAR Serenity Study will last for 29 weeks.
