Summary:

Clinical research study for asthma patients taking and inhaled asthma medication daily.  
The study has 3 clinic visits and 2 telephone visits. 
During the 2nd visit pulmonary function tests (PFT) are performed over a 12 hour period at the clinic. 
We have a lounge, big screen TV, high speed internet, sofas and beds, and provide meals for the 2nd visit.

 

 

Eligible volunteers must:
- be 18 years of age or older
- be taking and inhaled asthma medication daily
- be able to discontinue current asthma medication except for albuterol
- have been diagnosed with asthma at least 6 months ago

 

 

Eligible volunteers must not:
- have had a emergency room visit or been hospitalized overnight for an asthma within the last 4 weeks
- have used tobacco or nicotine products in the past year
- have been treated with any steroid medications, such as prednisone, in the past 30 days
- have had a sinus, ear, throat or lung infection in the past 30 days

 

 


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Albuterol inhaler at no cost to use as rescue medication during the study

Debit card at no cost which is usually funded with the visit compensation amount within 24 hour of the visit

Study medication and an electronic diary at no cost for use during the study 

Compensation of up to $590 may be available to those who complte the study
