Summary:
Medex Healthcare Research is conducting a research study of an investigational medication for individuals with moderate to severe low back pain for at least 3 months and osteoarthritis of the knee or hip who have a history of inadequate joint pain relief or intolerance to current analgesic therapy.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
•
Have a history of inadequate pain relief from acetaminophen, opiod, and oral NSAIDS
•
Must have pain an average of 4 times / week over the past month
•
Must be willing to discontinue current NSAID and opioid pain medications for length of study
•
Must be able to tolerate an MRI
Qualified Participants May Receive:
As a study participant, you will receive all study related care at no charge, including physical examinations, lab services, and study medication. Additional compensation may be available.
