Participation requirements
You may qualify if you:
- Are between the ages of 18-80
- Have been diagnosed with Pruritus and Plaque Psoriasis that covers less than 10% of your body
- Are willing to complete a daily electronic diary
About the Study
This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in comparison to a placebo, which looks like the study drug but does not contain the active drug ingredients. Qualified individuals will receive study medication or placebo for approximately 8 weeks, with an additional follow-up period of 2 weeks.
What is Plaque Psoriasis?
Plaque Psoriasis is a chronic, non-contagious skin condition that is caused by an overactive immune system. Skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches. Pruritus is most commonly associated with skin disorders such as Plaque Psoriasis and result in severe itching.
Psoriasis is triggered by a variety of causes. Some common triggers include:
- Stress
- Infections
- Injury to the skin (sunburn, scratches, vaccinations)
- Certain medications
