Summary:

To Determine f the vaccine helps prevent severe diarrhea caused by a germ (bacterium) called Clostridiuom Difficile (C Diff). Vaccines help your body to make antibodies which help to fight against diseases. C diff is a significant cause of infectious diarrhea


Qualified Participants Must:

• Ages 50 and older
• Subjects with an increased risk of future contact with healthcare systems by virtue of either ONE of the following:

- 1 inpatient hospitalization past 12 months

- 2 emergency room visits past 12 months

- residence in a nursing home

- 10 outpatient visits past 22 months


OR

Patients who have received systemic (ie, oral or injected) antibiotics at any time in the previous 12 weeks


Qualified Participants May Receive:

$50 per visit.

Study related procedures and vaccine at no cost.
