Click image to enlargeMillions of children get sick with flu each year and thousands are hospitalized. Influenza is a serious illness that leads to approximately 20,000 hospitalizations, most in children younger than 5 years of age. Help local doctors test a new investigational
medication for children under 12 years old experiencing influenza-like symptoms.
Qualified Participants Must:
• There is written informed consent of study participant from parent or legal guardian
•
Is between the ages of 1-12 years old
•
Has fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
•
Has a cough or nasal congestion
•
Has been experiencing symptoms for 48 hours or less
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Study related care and medication may be provided at no cost. Participants may be compensated for time and travel.
