Summary:

This study explores areas of physiology, psychology, and genetics that might be used to predict which antidepressant would be most successful.

Participants will undergo a 5 hour evaluation at Week 1 and Week 8. There are 8 follow-up telephone sessions over a 1-year period.

Participants must be willing to be randomly assigned one of three antidepressant medications.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18-65 years of age
• Have already been diagnosed with major depression or suspect you have depression
• Have not used anti-depressant medications recently or are willing to change medications under a physician’s care
• Have English as your primary language
