Summary:
People living with Type 2 Diabetes are at a significantly higher risk for cardiovascular disease (such as heart attack and stroke) and kidney disease.
We are conducting a research study to evaluate an investigational medication for Type 2 Diabetes and seeking adults who have a history of cardiovascular disease or kidney disease.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
•
Have a history of heart or kidney disease such as:
- Acute Myocardial Infarction
- Stenosis
- Stable Angina
- Cardiac Ischemia
- Peripheral Arterial Disease
- Intermittent Claudication
•Are only using between 1 and 3 oral medications to treat your Type 2 Diabetes (and NOT using insulin injections)
**There are other eligibility requirements. A final decision on whether this research study might be suitable for you will be made after you speak with the research site. The study doctor will explain the benefits and risks of participation in this research study.

Qualified participants will receive study-related care and investigational medication from a local doctor at no cost, and may receive compensation for their time.
