Summary:
People living with Type 2 Diabetes are at a significantly higher risk for cardiovascular disease (such as heart attack and stroke) and kidney disease.
We are conducting a research study to evaluate an investigational medication for Type 2 Diabetes and seeking adults who have a history of cardiovascular disease or kidney disease.
Qualified Participants Must:
Have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
Have a history of heart or kidney disease such as:
- Acute Myocardial Infarction
- Stenosis
- Stable Angina
- Cardiac Ischemia
- Peripheral Arterial Disease
- Intermittent Claudication
Are only using between 1 and 3 oral medications to treat your Type 2 Diabetes (and NOT using insulin injections)

Qualified participants will receive study-related care and investigational medication from a local doctor at no cost, and may receive compensation for their time.
