Summary:

This is a long-term paid clinical trial for men with low testosterone (levels checked at screening) who have at least one symptom of low testosterone and cardiovascular issues such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Cannot have used testosterone replacement therapy in the past 90 days.

  • Men ages 45 to 80
  • Low testosterone levels (checked at screening)
  • Pre-existing cardiovascular disease or cardiovascular risk factors

This is a 3 to 5-year study with up to 10 visits to our Greensboro Clinic in the first year, followed by visits every 3 months after the first year. There is no charge study medications and related healthcare, participation includes payment for time and travel. You will be compensated $50 per visit for time and travel.

Some men have low testosterone levels. This is called Testosterone Deficiency Syndrome (TD), Low Testosterone (Low-T) or male hypogonadism. Deficiency means that the body does not have enough of a needed substance. Syndrome is a group of symptoms that, together, suggest a disease or health condition.

These symptoms or conditions may accompany Low-T:

  • Low sex drive
  • Fatigue
  • Reduced muscle mass
  • Irritability
  • Erectile dysfunction (ED)
  • Depression

Cardiovascular issues include;

  • Heart attack
  • Coronary bypass,
  • Stroke,
  • Revascularization

Cardiovascular risk factors include;

  • Hypertension,
  • High cholesterol
  • Diabetes
  • Smoking
  • Kidney disease
  • Age 65 or older


Qualified Participants May Receive:
