Summary:

 A clinical research study is being conducted to learn if an investigational medication given for the treatment of ulcerative colitis will induce remission after 12 weeks of treatment.   You will participate in this study up to 12 weeks


Qualified Participants Must:

• Between the ages of 18-80
• Have venous access sufficient to allow blood sampling and medication administration
• Have had an established diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis for 3 months or more
• Have moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis
• Must have failed conventional therapy by exhibiting an inadequate response, a lack of response or intolerance to previous treatment for ulcerative colitis


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Investigational medication, study exams, and colonoscopy at no cost.  Compensation for time and travel to the clinic and the colonoscopy clinic.
