Seeking Female Volunteers for Irritable Bowel Syndrome Study

Is your irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) getting in the way of your life?

Common symptoms of IBS include stomach pains, excessive gas, diarrhea and/or constipation.

If you or your loved one are living with IBS-D or IBS-M, you may be interested in participating in a new clinical research opportunity. Clinical Research Solutions is seeking volunteers for a clinical trial assessing the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in people living with IBS-D or IBS-M.

Participants may qualify if they are:

  • Are a woman between 18 and 70 years old
  • Have shown symptoms of IBS-D or IBS-M for at least 6 months
  • Are NOT diagnosed with or showing symptoms of IBS-C or IBS-U
  • Have had a colonoscopy within the last 5 years with no significant clinical findings if you meet the requirements for one
  • Have no history of chronic and/or severe constipation
  • No history of substance or alcohol abuse in the past year
  • No history of liver disease or hepatic impairment
  • No history or suspicion of current gastrointestinal obstruction, abnormality, malignancy, or motility disorder.
  • No history of diverticulitis within the past 3 months
  • No history of inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, colitis, or other medical condition that could be contributing to abdominal pain.
