Summary:
The Edelweiss Study for Endometriosis
Dealing with symptoms that others might not understand can be frustrating, but you’re not alone. About 450 women who are living with moderate to severe pain associated with their endometriosis are expected to participate in the Edelweiss study.
Further research is needed in managing endometriosis-associated pain. More treatment options are needed, and they need to be more effective for more women.
What is the purpose of the Edelweiss Study?
The Edelweiss study is assessing the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug alone and in combination with hormonal add back therapy compared to placebo in women with moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis.
Is study participation an option for me?
You may qualify to participate if you:
- Are 18 to 49 years old
- Have had a surgically confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis within the last 10 years
- Have endometriosis-associated pain during your period and at other times during your menstrual cycle
- Are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
There are other requirements for participation in the studies that a study doctor and staff will explain to you in greater detail.
