Study Summary:

The Preeclampsia Reduction by Exercise Project (PREP) is investigating the possibility that women who had preeclampsia in a previous pregnancy might be able to reduce the risk of developing preeclampsia in the current pregnancy by adopting a walking exercise program.


Qualified Participants Must:

• be 12-20 weeks pregnant and have had a diagnosis of preeclampsia in a previous pregnancy
• be willing to meet with our exercise physiologist to get set up with a home exercise program
• be willing to meet with our research coordinator to answer some questionnaires, have blood pressure measured and have samples of blood taken on three different occasions. These visits will take approximately two hours per visit.


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Gift certificates at enrollment, $20.00 per appointment and gifts at delivery.
