Summary:

Click image to enlargeThe Cleo study is designed to find out how effective the study therapy is at improving depressive symptoms for people who have tried other treatments for major depressive disorder without sufficient improvement. The study therapy is designed to be taken along with standard treatments for major depressive disorder, when standard treatments alone have not sufficiently improved symptoms. If you decide to join the Cleo study, you will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to receive either the study therapy or placebo (no active ingredients).
Qualified Participants Must:
18-60 years old
Have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
Are currently experiencing a depressive episode that began at least 12 weeks ago but less than 5 years ago
Have tried at least 2 courses of standard treatments for your current depressive episode without sufficient improvement
Qualified Participants May Receive:
If you are eligible and decide to join the Cleo study, your participation will last six to ten weeks and include:
- A screening period of up to 28 days to see if you qualify for the study
- A study therapy period of four weeks, during which you will take the assigned study therapy
- A safety follow-up period of two weeks to check on your health after you finish taking the assigned study therapy
- Compensation may be available for time and travel
