Summary:

We are currently conducting a study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of a Chinese herb (botanical product) for Ulcerative Colitis.

This is a double-blind placebo controlled trial.

The study herb has been tested/used in over 129 million users. Previous studies show it inhibits inflammation and reduces colon damage similar to the drug mesalamine.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Have active mild to moderate ulcerative colitis
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Subjects may be on a stable dose of oral Mesalamine
• Be able to attend up to seven (7) study visits over the up to 12 week study


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study related medical, laboratory and colonoscopy exams at no cost. Study medication provided at no cost. Time and travel compensation of $25.00 per visit completed.
