Clinical Trial 47008

New Bedford, MA 02740

Summary:

3-Visit Clinical Trial for Participants with Migraines

A migraine is an intense headache that can cause severe throbbing, pulsing, and pain, typically felt on one side of the head. Symptoms of a migraine include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Some individuals who experience migraines experience an aura, or a visual disturbance characterized by light flashes or blind spots.

If you are one of the 36 million Americans who experience migraines, consider enrolling in a clinical trial. BTC of New Bedford is conducting a 3-visit clinical research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational migraine treatment. Qualified participants will receive study-related care at no cost.

You may qualify for participation if you:

    • Are 18 to 65 years of age
    • Have been experiencing migraines with or without aura for at least 1 year, and began experiencing them before age 50
    • Experience an average recent frequency of 2-8 migraine attacks per month
    • Have been experiencing fewer than 15 days of headaches (migraine or non-migraine) per month lately
    • Are able to distinguish migraines from other headache types

You may not qualify for participation if you:

    • Have a diagnosis of headache conditions other than migraine with or without aura
    • Have a diagnosis of major cardiac, pulmonary, or psychiatric conditions
    • Have two or more cardiovascular risk factors, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or diabetes
