Summary:

The study will assess the safety and effectiveness of an investigational implanted device in treating chronic stroke survivors who have reduced hand and/or arm function after stroke. The study compares cortical electrical stimulation plus rehabilitative therapy for the affected arm to rehabilitative therapy for the affected arm only.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have experienced an ischemic (or clotting) stroke at least 4 months ago that has caused weakness in one hand and/or arm


Qualified Participants May Receive:

All costs related to the study and rehabilitation will be covered.
