Clinical Trial 49050

Phoenix, AZ 85016

Summary:

Those who feel stuck in a constant loop of dissatisfaction with their current depression medication can now explore a different option. Join a research study for adults that will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational oral medication for depression. The medication we are using is REL-1017, or esmethadone. This medication is investigational, meaning it is not currently approved by the FDA, but as part of this study we are assessing this medication’s effectiveness, safety, and usefulness for patients who have been dissatisfied with other depression treatments. We will test this medication against a placebo group. If you qualify for the study, you would be randomly assigned (like flipping a coin) into either the treatment group, or the placebo group. Neither you nor the study team will know what group you are in. See if you prequalify by contacting our Research Coordinator, Matthew Broussard at 612-216-2951 or mbroussard@threewire.com. We are available Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Criteria:

You may be eligible if: 1) are between 18 and 65 years old, 2) have a diagnosis of depression, and 3) are currently experiencing symptoms of depression (sometimes referred to as a depressive episode).

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Those who qualify will receive: 1) Study-related care at no cost and 2) possible compensation for time and travel. Compensation for participants is $200 at Screening visit, $200 at Baseline Visit, and up to $120 at each subsequent completed visit. Plus $1.00 for each dose taken using the AiCure app, total of $31 per month during your trial participation.
