Summary:
This research study is being done to test a potential treatment for hyperoxaluria. Hyperoxaluria results from having too much of a naturally occurring substance, called oxalate, being passed in the urine. Oxalate is normally found at a certain level in the body and also in many foods. The Sponsor of this study, has created a genetically modified study drug, NOV-001, with the goal of lowering oxalate levels in the urine. This is a research study to test this investigational drug.
Key Inclusion criteria
- Male/Female >18 and <55 years of age
- BMI <38 kg/m2
- Healthy: No clinically relevant abnormalities
Key Exclusion criteria (Cannot participate if you have the following):
- Current or Hx of drug abuse
- History of alcohol consumption – male: >14 drinks/week; female >21 drinks/week
- eGFR of over 80
- Renal disease
- Chronic diarrhea or constipation
- Bleeding disorder
Qualified Participants May Receive:
- $160 per visit on average
