Summary:
Schizophrenia can be a debilitating health condition with symptoms of hallucinations, delusions, and distorted thinking. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, a clinical trail may be an option.
Criteria:- Must be between the ages of 18 – 65 (for in-patient).
- Must be prescribed any of the following medications (for in-patient): Risperidone, Olanzapine, Quetiapine, or Aripiprazole.
- Cannot have a history of any of the following diseases/conditions: Autoimmune (including HIV), Bariatric surgery (gastric bypass, lap band, etc.), Cancer, Diabetes, unexplained loss of consciousness, nor be prone to Seizures or Stroke.
- Cannot have donated blood/plasma in the last 60 days, nor plan to for the duration of the study.
- May need to have a friend or family member that you interact with, in person, at least 2 hours a week act as an informant (for out-patient).
- Must participate in a urinalysis, on site, which needs to show your system is free of any substance considered illicit, and also any medication used to treat substance use disorder.
Qualified Participants May Receive:
- See a physician or medical staff at no cost
- Receive compensation for time and travel
- Patients can also make anywhere from a couple thousand to a few thousand dollars, depending on duration of participation
