Summary:

Do you or someone you love have bipolar depression? Learn about a new clinical trial.
We are looking for volunteers between the ages of 18 and 65 with bipolar depression who have expressed or demonstrated suicidal thoughts. This clinical research study will evaluate an investigational drug to see if it can help reduce suicidal ideation in people with bipolar depression.
If you qualify and decide to join the study, you will be asked to take oral medication twice a day for 6-weeks. During this time, you’ll have six check-in visits with the study team. These check-ins may involve a blood draw and other tests to assess your condition. You’ll also provide the study team with regular answers to questions, using a digital audio device. You’ll receive a follow-up phone call from study staff about 4 weeks after ending the study treatment. Your study doctor will monitor your depression symptoms and any changes in suicidal thoughts.
Additionally, you may receive up to $625 in compensation for your participation. Your participation may also benefit others who have not responded to existing therapies.
