Summary:

This is a clinical research study to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for Ulcerative Colitis. This study is testing an investigational suppository compared to a placebo ( safe none medication ) in treating adults with Ulcerative Colitis. The total study duration, including screening, is approximately 3 months with 7 office visits and 2 telephone interviews. The Study procedures and tests will include 2 endoscopies of the colon or rectum, blood samples, stool samples, and an electronic daily medication reminder using a smartphone.


Qualified Participants Must:

Be Male or nonpregnant
• Be aged 18 years and older
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of active UC of the rectum
• Must be willing to have a screening colonoscopy to confirm eligibility
• Satisfy other criteria required for the study


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Free Screening Colonoscopy; Free Study treatment if enrolled in the study; Between $1,250  to $2,350 stipend payment.
