Summary:
The George Washing University Vaccine Research Unit is seeking volunteers for a new clinical study. This Phase 1/2 study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of a COVID vaccine and a flu vaccine when administered together in a single injection to healthy adults 50 years of age or older. Annual vaccine programs for SARS-CoV-2 and influenza are likely to run concurrently. Combining the vaccines into a single injection could increase the likelihood that a person seeking either vaccination against COVID or against flu would want to protect themselves from both pathogens.
There will be 3 study visits over a 6-month period. There will be vaccination on the first visit, followed by a 4-week follow-up visit, and then a 6-month follow-up visit. Participants will keep an electronic diary (e-diary) for 7 days after the vaccination.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be at least 50 years old
Have NOT received a COVID vaccine in the last 6 months
Have NOT received a flu vaccine in the last 6 months
Qualified Participants May Receive:
$135 for each on-site study visit you complete.
$50 for e-diary completion for a period of 7 days.
