Clinical Trial 62732

Orange, CA 92868

Summary:

The Ntrust-2 study: The Ntrust-2 study is part of a broad effort of the global research community to develop more treatment options for people living with systemic sclerosis, myositis, or vasculitis.

An autoimmune disease occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own healthy tissues, leading to chronic inflammation and damage. This can affect various organs and systems, causing symptoms that can range from mild to life-threatening.

While current treatments can help control symptoms, further clinical research is needed to develop therapies that are more effective, longer lasting, and less demanding on the body. Do you want to help advance autoimmune disease medical research? Consider enrolling in the Ntrust-2 study.

What is Ntrust-2 study?
The Ntrust-2 study is a clinical study testing an investigational product, called NKX019, in adults living with systemic sclerosis, myositis, or vasculitis.

What is NKX019?
NKX019 is an investigational cell therapy. It is designed to target and remove the cells in your body that can lead to your autoimmune disease. Studies have shown that if these cells can be removed, the harmful antibodies that attack the body’s own tissues in systemic sclerosis, myositis, or vasculitis may also be eliminated, which could potentially slow or stop progression of your disease.

What is the purpose of this study?
Approximately 8% of the U.S. population1 and roughly 4% of the global population2 are living with an autoimmune disease. Despite their high prevalence, treatment options for these conditions are often limited. With innovation comes the hope of next-generation autoimmune disease treatments. That’s why studies like this are designed to help find a next-generation autoimmune disease treatment.

The purpose of the Ntrust-2 study is to:

  • Determine if NKX019 is safe to use and how well you tolerate it.
  • Determine if NKX019 can control your autoimmune disease.
  • See if you can stop taking other medications like steroids.
  • See how your body processes NKX019 by measuring the NKX019 levels in the blood.

Who can join this study?
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are 18 to 65 years old.
  • Have been diagnosed with systemic sclerosis, myositis, or vasculitis.
  • Have received prior autoimmune disease treatments that have not worked well for you.

You will also need to meet additional requirements. The study team will review these with you.

Compensation: Any medications and tests related to the trial that are outside your usual care will not cost you anything. Sometimes, costs related to the trial, like traveling to the clinic, are covered too.

Clinical trials are medical research studies designed to test the safety and/or effectiveness of new investigational drugs, devices, or treatments in humans. These studies are conducted worldwide for a range of conditions and illnesses. Learn more about clinical research and participating in a study at About Clinical Trials.
